A Gothic-style church tower is seen in the middle distance. It dominates a cloudless sky in the upper portion of the image, with trees rising behind the lower portion of the building and a single story outcropping of the building expanding to the tower's left. The architectural details, especially the carved stonework and patterned brickwork, are rendered with precision.<br />

In this print we see a view of a city from the rooftop. In the foreground, two men standing on a balcony stare out at a city. A tall belltower emerges from the middle and leans to the right. In the background are smaller buildings and clouds fill the sky.

This drawing shows a city climbing a hill along the bank of a river. The background is mostly grey, with faint washes of blue around the top and bottom edge to indicate sky and water. The blocky brown, pink, blue, grey, green, and yellow buildings have flat, black roofs and some windows are lit. Little black boats are lined up on the shoreline, and one is offshore flying the French flag. On the right, the tower of a church rises out of the water.

A group of figures stand on the bow of a boat at the left. Behind and to the left are buildings and steps leading up to a quay with people gathered along the railings. Behind the figures and to the right are the numerous masts of ships lined side by side, all containing figures while in the distance beyond are the arches of a bridge.
